A new venture
Songs & Stories from The Pines is a YouTube interview series I am starting in 2026.
Episodes will feature musicians and music promoters from the larger East Central region as they share their stories, songs, and music. By recording and sharing these conversations, I hope to keep the traditions and legends of our area of Minnesota alive for the next generation of music makers.
The musicians of this region have dedicated countless hours to their craft and entertained audiences for years. The knowledge, stories, and experiences they carry are priceless.
Preserving their voices in this way will be a gift to the music community and a treasure for fans to revisit and learn from for years.
We are passionate about music, but not all of us can, or want to be professionals. We work, raise families, tend to the day-to-day of our lives; in between, we work on our craft. We write what we know, see, think, feel - and share it with our friends and neighbors. In the end, we learn songs and make them our own. In a world of distractions, we are trying to make human connections and have a meaningful impact on others. It's important to me to be a part of making these connections, I feel it's what unites us in humanity in a world full of division.
