Book a show

I am a singer-songwriter in the folk tradition.

I play at bars, breweries, wineries, and coffee shops with the best of them—doing 2–3 hours of my own songs, along with choice selections from American and British folk and singer-songwriters.

But I can also put on a one-hour concert or show built around my own life and songs, or other subjects of interest.

I have created one-hour shows around themes such as love (Valen-tunes), trains and transportation, sobriety, hymn singing, and local history.

I would love to do more of these, because they flex my muscles as a storyteller, song-smith, and folksinger.

In this age of scrolling content, endless streaming, and on-demand entertainment, this kind of live intimate storytelling is very important. Every time I’ve done one, people come away feeling they’ve experienced something organic and genuinely human.

Other topics I’d like to explore:

Pine County — place and people, tying in “popular” cover songs, folk songs, and my own

War and its effects — from old rousing songs like “The Rising of the Moon” to “Masters of War” and “Old Man Jon”

Old ballads (English, Scottish, and American) — the stories behind the songs, how they came to America with immigrants, and how they changed

If you are interested in booking a show for a house concert, café, art gallery, or church, please reach out and we can discuss and plan.
